THE BITTERSWEET STORY

I will go that extra step to find that something AWESOME

Who I am

HI, my name is Lou Ann and I am the owner of Bittersweet Antiques.  When I was 16 (a long, long  time ago :) my dad got his auctioneers license and I started clerking his sales.

I was hooked & I have been collecting ever since.  I love refinishing furniture. To see the transformation from  "oh yuck" to "oh my gosh" -- it's such a good feeling,

I was lucky enough to open an antique store in 2016. I named it "Bittersweet" because this is something my mom always wanted to do with me. She's no longer with us, so it's Bittersweet that I am opening it without her. Although she's definitely here in spirit, steering me in the right direction.

Unique is what I love

I love looking for that unique item that not every antique store has.

Oh sure, there are a lot of really nice antique stores around but I feel mine is a little different.

My sign out front says a "Friendly place to Shop" and that we are. We greet you when you come in and "Thank You" when you leave. No pressure shopping while you are here.

We just want you to enjoy your visit.  I hope we can greet you very soon.
